We decided to walk to the barrier lake not far from the car park. The landscape looks like a desert

It’s been a long time since any electricity was produced

The walk took us along the lake, and then through some interesting looking hills and a little canyon

Of course we also saw a lot of flowers

and palm trees and cactus

also a few animals

Finally we reached the town Elx / Elche. There are palm trees everywhere, and some lovely parks

It was dark when we got back to our camper van
