Cabo de Gata / Reserva de las Salinas – 1.3.2022

We intended to go for a little stroll around the lighthouse, but it turned into a hike, as usual 😉 The area was just too interesting!

The white rocks are tuffs, very old vulcanic material.

There are a lot of basalt columns. One place reminded us of the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland!

We also saw some interesting flowers:

Here is some advertising for my cousin Gerd’s business: http://www.anziehendes.ch –> she sells lovely socks, tights, shoes, accessories and much more! I am very pleased with my socks and shoes 🙂

We then drove down to the salines. It’s a nature park. Apart from birds we also saw hares…

… and of course flamingoes 🙂

We walked back to our camper van on the beach…

… with a gorgeous sunset again!
