We left the coast and drove inland, through the Alpujarras, on the south slopes of the Sierra Nevada.
First we drove past a lot of huge greenhouses. The province Almeria is known as the vegetable garden of Spain. The area is very dry, but thanks to a clever watering system a lot of vegetable grows there. The workers are mainly underpaid and exploited 😦

We did sightseeing by car, no walking.

Soon we reached the National Park Sierra Nevada. We drove to the highest village in Spain, to Trevélez, where we stayed for the night.
