We were booked for a walk on the Caminito del Rey (path of the king). It’s a walk through a canyon that used to be one of the most dangerous walks on earth (!). It’s been rebuilt in 2015, and now it’s not dangerous anymore, but still spectacular. The amount of people that are allowed through is limited, and everybody has to wear a helmet.

It was very imposing (isn’t it, Beverley!!!).

We saw quite a few vultures.

In certain parts the canyon is quite broad.

There is a railway running through the gorge, which is still being used!

Often we could see the old path underneath the new one.

There was a platform with a glass floor!

We even had to cross the canyon.

After the bridge the walk was just about finished…

We took the bus back to where we started.

Of course there were some lovely flowers, too!
