Since we arrived in Ronda the night before, we could start with the sightseeing straight away. Ronda is a town basically built on two rocks, separated by the river Guadalevín.

We walked to the famous Puente Nuevo.

Apparently it took 40 years to build the bridge, and it’s 100 meters high! The houses are standing right next to the edge of the cliffs.

Further down are two other bridges, the Puente Viejo and the Puente Árabe.

We saw the Puente Nuevo from the other side:

We also looked out for flowers and other photogenic „targets“… The cats reminded me of Monty and Toby!

Some birds were building their nests.

The rest of the town looked good, too.

We then drove towards the coast via Gaucin, through a very scenic landscape.

La Linea de la Concepción is the Spanish town just before Gibraltar. From the beach by the campsite we could see the „Rock of Gibraltar“, and loads of cargo ships, waiting to sail through the Strait of Gibraltar!
