El Rocio really is a special place! Sand everywhere…

Looking at the map, it would seem that the streets are narrow…

But that’s not the case at all!

There are huge squares, and many playgrounds – what a big sandpit 🙂

Apparently horses and carriages are quite common!

Only about 800 residents live there during the year, but at Whitsun there are over one million people in the town. The reason is that El Rocio is a place of pilgrimage.

Only a few houses look lived in, but there are a few shops.

The town is located on a lake.

It threatened to rain …
