The common snipes were flying around our camper van, making their typical noise with the tail feathers. It’s great to listen to them 🙂 Once again we were the last ones on the campsite…

Die Bekassinen flogen um unser Büssli und machten das typische Geräusch mit ihren Schwanzfedern. Es hört sich grossartig an 🙂 Wir waren wieder mal die Letzten auf dem Campingplatz..

The weather was not so great. We spent most of the day around the Strokkur Centre. The geyser is very impressive to watch!

Das Wetter war nicht so toll. Wir verbrachten den grössten Teil des Tages ums Strokkur Center. Der Geysir ist einfach sehr beeindruckend!

Our next destination was Faxafall.

Unser nächstes Ziel war der Faxafall.

The rain drove us to the restaurant Við Faxa . It’s a lovely restaurant with very friendly and jolly staff. The view of the waterfall is great !

Der Regen hat uns ins Restaurant Við Faxa getrieben. Es ist ein empfehlenswertes Restaurant mit sehr freundlichem und lustigem Personal. Die Sicht auf den Wasserfall ist super !

We did have a little walk around when the rain eased off.

Als der Regen nachliess. gingen wir ein bisschen spazieren.

The campsite was right next to the river.

Der Campingplatz war unmittelbar neben dem Fluss.

The next day we did laundry in Selfoss. It’s worth reading the instructions 🙂

Am nächsten Tag war Waschtag in Selfoss …

… and then we drove on to the coast, to Stokkseyri.

… dann fuhren wir weiter an die Küste, nach Stokkseyri.
