Das Café, welches wir als erstes besuchten, möchte ich hier gerne erwähnen 🙂

Lovely to have a walk in a forest again! We missed that… The forest is called Hofsstaðaskóg.

Wie schön, wieder mal einen Spaziergang in einem Wald zu machen ! Das haben wir vermisst … Der Wald heisst Hofsstaðaskóg.

The seals and the eider ducks were great to watch !

Something startled the seals and they robbed into the water.

Irgendetwas erschreckte die Robben, und sie robbten ins Wasser. Wenn hinter Robben Robben robben, robben Robben Robben nach 😉

Our next destination was the Bjarnarfoss. Snæfellsjökull was getting closer.

Unser nächstes Ziel war der Bjarnarfoss. Snæfellsjökull kam näher und näher.

When the wind is very strong, it might happen that all the water gets blown away.

Wenn es stärker windet, wird manchmal das ganze Wasser verweht.

The church Búðakirkja is popular for weddings and photo shoots.

Die Búðakirkja ist beliebt für Hochzeiten und Fotoshootings.

Lots of lava fields everywhere in Iceland, often making it look like moonscape. On the first photo a narrow opening to a gorge can be seen, the Rauðfelsdsgjá. It’s possible to walk (or rather climb) in this gorge, but apparantly one gets pretty wet… We didn’t do it this time 😉

Überall in Island hat es Lavafelder, und oft ähnelt es eher einer Mondlandschaft. Auf dem ersten Foto sieht man den schmalen Eingang zu einer Schlucht, der Rauðfelsdsgjá. Man kann in die Schlucht wandern (oder besser gesagt drin rumklettern), aber man wird offenbar ziemlich nass… Dieses Mal gingen wir nicht rein 😉

Our campsite was in Arnarstapi. We were already looking forward to our walk the next day 🙂

Unser Übernachtungsplatz war in Arnarstapi. Wir freuten uns bereits auf unsere Wanderung am nächsten Tag 🙂

The local mountain is called Stapafell (the blocked up mountain).

Der Hausberg heisst Stapafell (der verstopfte Berg).
