Arnarstapi campsite has very nice sanitary facilities, and the scenery is beautiful.

The story to the following photos: the one bird came flying with a fish, showing it to his mate – he then hopped off – and advaned again – the two birds were both pulling at the fish – the first bird flew off – and came back again. This game they played a few times. In the end the first bird flew away for good – with the fish !

Die Geschichte zu den nächsten Fotos: der eine Vogel kam angeflogen mit einem Fisch und zeigte ihn dem anderen Vogel – dann hüpfte er davon – und wieder zurück – die beiden Vögel zogen beide am Fisch – der erste Vogel flog davon – und kehrte wieder zurück. Sie spielten dieses Spiel ein paar Mal. Am Schluss flog der erste Vogel endgültig davon – mit dem Fisch !

The harbour of Arnarstapi is one of the nicest harbours I’ve ever seen 🙂

Der Hafen von Arnarstapi ist einer der schönsten Häfen, die ich je gesehen habe 🙂

A little pond with lots of birds. The red-necked Phalarope (especially the female!) has an orange neck.

Ein kleiner Weiher mit vielen Vögeln. Das Odinshühnchen (vor allem das Weibchen!) ist orange gefärbt.

… the birds – everything was just perfect 🙂 Shags resemble cormorants.

In Hellnar:

Coffee and carrot cake at the café Fjóruhúsid. The carrot cake was scrumptious, but nowhere near as nice as the one from my mom or Thomas’s mom 😉

Kaffe und Rüeblitorte im Café Fjóruhúsid. Die Rüeblitorte war lecker, aber niemals so fein wie die von meiner oder Thomas’s Mutter 😉

We tried a different way back to Arnarstapi, but it was leading to nowhere …

Wir wollten einen anderen Rückweg einschlagen, aber der führte ins Nichts …

… so we went back the same way.

… also gingen wir den selben Weg zurück.

Wieder in Arnarstapi. Offensichtlich war die Küstenseeschwalbe doch noch erfolgreich 🙂

And after a lovely meal at the restaurant Snjofell we were rewarded with a beautiful sky! After all, we had something to celebrate, didn’t we, Stevie 🙂

Nach einem fabelhaften Essen im Restaurant Snjofell wurden wir mit einem wunderbaren Himmel belohnt ! Schliesslich hatten wir etwas zu feiern, gäu Stevie 🙂
