Next to the campsite in Arnarstapi is the beginning of „the voyage to the centre of the earth“ 🙂

Neben dem Campingplatz in Arnarstapi ist der Anfang zur „Reise zum Mittelpunkt der Erde“ 🙂

Since there was no skyrkaka left, yesterday at the Café Fjóruhúsið, we made up for that. There is no rule that one cannot have a dessert after breakfast 😉

Da es gestern im Café Fjóruhúsið kein Skyrkaka mehr hatte, holten wir das nach. Es gibt schliesslich keine Regel, dass man nach dem Frühstück kein Dessert geniessen darf 😉

Snæfellsjökull often has lenticularis (clouds shaped like lens) above it. It’s an interesting mountain anyway.

The two stacks can be seen from a distance. They look pretty impressive !

Die zwei Felsnadeln sieht man schon von weitem. Sie sind sehr beeindruckend !

The whole coastline is marvellous !

The rocks and stones lying around are interesting, too. Remains of volcanic eruptions are clearly visible.

Die rumliegenden Felsen und Steine sind auch interessant. Überreste erkalteter Lava sind sichtbar.

We enjoyed watching the breaking of waves.

Wir genossen es, der Brandung zuzuschauen.

A lot of driftwood was lying around.

Überall lag Schwemmholz herum.

In Malarrif a lot of playground equipment was scattered around.

In Malarrif waren viele Kinderspielgeräte in der Landschaft verstreut.

We listened to the sound of the pebbles being washed ashore.

Wir lauschten dem Geräusch der rollenden Kieselsteine in der Brandung.
