In Aalborg we wanted to visit the old part of the town, but there are restrictions for cars, and we didn’t feel like bothering with parking out of town and taking public transport, and lots of hustle and bustle. We were still in the ’solitude mood‘ from Iceland 😉

In Aalborg wollten wir eigentlich die Altstadt besuchen, aber es gibt Restriktionen für Autofahrer, und wir hatten keine Lust auf Parking ausserhalb der Stadt und öV und viele Leute und Rummel… Wir waren immer noch in der ‚Einsamkeits-Stimmung‘ von Island 😉

Instead we drove to Lindholm Høje, a burial site from the Iron Age and the Viking Age.

Stattdessen fuhren wir zur Lindholm Høje, eine Grabstätte aus der Eisen- und Wikingerzeit.

We didn’t really have a plan of where to go… Somewhere we read about a huge sandcastle, so we drove to Blokhus, across to the North Sea coast.

Wir hatten nicht wirklich einen Plan, wohin unsere Reise führen sollte… Irgendwo lasen wir über eine riesige Sandburg, deshalb fuhren wir nach Blokhus, zurück an die Nordseeküste.

It was very very windy – our walk didn’t take very long 😉 We ate lovely Smørrebrød in the restaurant Hawet!

Es war sehr sehr windig – unser Spaziergang dauerte nicht sehr lange 😉 Im Restaurant Hawet assen wir wunderbares Smørrebrød!

The Sculpture Park was very interesting, with figures made of sand, metal, wood, stone etc.

Der Skulpturenpark war sehr interessant, mit Figuren aus Sand, Metall, Holz, Stein etc.

Luckily the weather brightened up – we could go for an extended walk through a forest, the dunes and along the beach.

Zum Glück wurde das Wetter besser – wir konnten einen ausgedehnten Spaziergang durch Wald, Dünen und dem Strand entlang unternehmen.
