Roundstone / Inishnee / Cashel / Moyrus Beach – 24.+25.7.2023

Waking up in the bog was great !

But we wanted to drive on.

Our first stop was in Roundstone.

We then headed to the small island Inishnee in Roundstone Bay. It is accessible via a bridge.

It has very few inhabitants, but lots of flowers along the roads 😉

And there are pretty, collapsed and crooked houses …

… and some animals …

… and some good views (a.o. The Twelve Pins) …

… and trees, some skew-whiff …

… and a cemetery, and other details worth mentioning.

We drove back to Roundstone, for a delicious meal at „The Shamrock“.

A bit further along the coast is Cashel, where we stayed for the night next to a disused squash hall and a tennis court.

Kurt went for a walk in the vicinity. I stayed in the van because I was full of cold.

There was even some colour in the sky later on 🙂

The next morning we carried on along the coast. These photos as just as they are, taken from the moving van, without retouching.

At Moyrus Beach we stopped. Kurt went for a walk to Mace Head. I had a nap in the van and joined him later.

Pieces of art 🙂

Lots of sand when it’s low tide.

Some more impressions from that area.

There is a cemetrey with a good view.

After leaving this beach we drove quite a few miles.

We stopped for the night at the Coral Strand (Trá an Dóilin) near Carraroe.

The beach is famous for its crystal clear water. There were even people swimming!

The evening light was gorgeous 🙂

We enjoyed the sunset 🙂
