It was a fine day when we left the campsite „Valley of the Rocks“ and drove off Holy Island.

Es war ein sonniger Tag, als wir den Campingplatz „Valley of the Rocks“ und auch die Holy Island verliessen.

We parked at Tyn Llan und first walked through an alleyway full of butterflies 🙂

Wir parkierten in Tyn Llan und wanderten zuerst durch eine schmale Passage voll mit Schmetterlingen.

Next we met a lot of pheasants …

Dann trafen wir auf sehr viele Fasane …

… and a lot of cows.

… und sehr viele Kühe.

Then we joined the coast path around Carmel Head. Wales has a coast path that runs all along its coast (870 miles!).

Dann begann die Küstenwanderung um den Carmel Head. Wales hat einen Fernwanderweg der ganzen Küste entlang (1400 km!).

The beach Traeth Ynys y Fydlyn looks very interesting! We could see the islets Skerries with the lighthouse.

Der Strand Traeth Ynys y Fydlyn sieht sehr interessant aus! Wir sahen die Skerries Inselchen mit dem Leuchtturm.

We then had to climb a steep slope.

Wir mussten dann einen recht steilen Weg hinauf.

Again, a lot of pheasants ran across the path.

Und wieder rannten viele Fasane über den Weg.

We just love the combination of these colours 🙂

The rocks and stones also have different colours.

Die Felsen und Steine haben auch unterschiedliche Farben.

Quite a few of the rare chough (familiy of the crows) were showing off!

Recht viele von den seltenen „choughs“ (eine Art Alpenkrähe) zeigten ihre Flugkünste!

We even saw peregrines and other flying objects 🙂

Wir sahen sogar Falken und andere Flugobjekte 🙂

Interesting cliffs and lovely flowers and the Skerries lighthouse.

Interessante Klippen und schöne Blumen und der Skerries Leuchtturm.

These very tall towers are somehow important for navigation.

Diese sehr hohen Türme sind irgendwie wichtig für die Schifffahrt.

The cliffs weren’t quite as high on the other side of the head and it was obvious that the tide was out again.

Auf der anderen Seite des Head waren die Klippen nicht mehr steil und es war offensichtlich, dass wieder mal Ebbe herrschte.

We noticed a few animals in the sea and at the shore, and the rocks looked very interesting.

Wir bemerkten ein paar Tiere im und am Meer, und die Felsen waren sehr interessant.

A couple of old gates – one at the end of our walk, and one to get into a churchyard.

Zwei verschiedene Tore – eines am Ende unserer Wanderung, und eines, um in einen Kirchhof zu gelangen.

The churchyard is in Llanbadrig where we stayed for the night.

Der Kirchhof befindet sich in Llanbadrig, wo wir übernachteten.
