Cemaes Head 15.8.2023

Fascinating, these British roads … Often they are even narrower than that 😉

We reached Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It’s the only national park in the UK to consist largely of coastal landscapes. And it’s beautiful 🙂

At Poppit Sands Beach, near Cardigan, we started our walk.

We soon gained height, walking towards Cemaes Head.

The gorse bloomed 🙂

Cliffs came into view !

We saw a lot of seals.

The cliffs looked great – probably a geologists dream.

We also saw choughs (red-billed crows) and some other flowers than gorse and heather.

The path was a gentle up and down.

We were fascinated by the coast with these gorgeous cliffs!

We couldn’t just carry on walking though – we had to get back to our camper van. We walked up this gill.

At the top we had a good view of the fields and meadows.

We had to climb dozens of stiles.

Then we got to a section that was quite muddy and partly overgrown, often with nettles and thorns… At one point we saw lots of cows that were mooing desperately – we wondered what happened to them!

We got back to the point overlooking the sea and then also Poppit Sands Beach.

The sun was setting when we finally drove on.

We spent the night at Ceibwr Bay.
