Pwll Deri to Penbwchdy – 24.8.2023

The day before we spent at Haverfordwest. We did washing and shopping and talked to the friendly owner of the campsite. We were the only guests!

We drove north again, close to Strumble Head, where we were five days ago. The walk from Pwll Deri along the coast was highly recommended to us by an employee at the visitor centre in St Davids, and we were curious 😉

A fort from the Iron Age, Dinas Mawr.

View along the coast to where we were heading.

Lovely flowers, very clear water, high cliffs, sunny and warm 🙂

It was very quiet, apart from the „singing“ of numerous seals in the secluded bays.

The path was amidst heather, gorse, fern and stones.

The butterflies loved it 🙂

Inland was very green. We could see the lighthouse of Strumble Head.

Volcanoes formed the dramatic scenery.

At Penbwchdy we turned round.

The sun made the yellow of the gorse glow 🙂

It was definitely worth it to do this walk! This is not snow by the way 😉

Afterwards we drove south again, to the Marloes peninsula.

Near St Ann’s Head we enjoyed a lovely sunset.
