Brecon Beacons Visitor Centre / Blaen y Glyn Uchaf / Talybont Reservoir – 3.+4.9.2023

We spent a quiet night at this beautiful spot.

Driving through Brecon Beacons with magnificent scenery.

In national parks you find information in the visitor centres.

A walk across the common was recommended to us.

On the hill Twyn y Gaer we had a 360° view!

Interesting geometric patterns and an iron age hill fort site.

We made a big detour to get back to the visitor centre.

We then drove to the Talybont Reservoir.

The sky and the lake were lovely, so we decided to spend the night there.

The following day we had gorgeous weather 🙂

Driving off towards …

… the „Old Barn Tea Room“.

Nearby are the waterfalls Blaen y Glyn Uchaf. We went for a walk there – it was strenuous and hot, and the path was slippery, muddy and narrow. But it was lovely 🙂

People were actually swimming in that cold water!

We certainly saw some beautiful waterfalls 🙂

Back at the Talybont Reservoir.

After a detour to Llangynidr (we meant to eat and spend the night at the „Coach and Horses“, but it was shut) we drove to Pencelli to the „Royal Oak“ for dinner.

The journey in our camper van during those two days.
