We drove up into the hills on the CV-758 and the CV-775, past Finestrat, Relleu and Aigües. It was interesting, with all the terraces, the mountains, and the winding roads.

Wir fuhren auf den Strassen CV-758 und CV-775 in die Hügel hinauf, vorbei an Finestrat, Relleu und Aigües. Es war eine interessante Fahrt, mit all den Terrassen, den Bergen und den kurvenreichen Strassen.

The street was already narrow in Relleu, but the chairs made it even narrower!

Die Strasse in Relleu war schon schmal, aber die Stühle machten sie noch schmaler!

The soil is very stony – it is surprising that anything grows at all!

Der Boden ist sehr steinig – es ist überraschend, dass überhaupt etwas wächst!

We bypassed Alicante and approached the Cabo de Santa Pola from the north, via Urbanova. Alicante can be seen in the background.

Wir umfuhren Alicante grosszügig und näherten uns dem Cabo de Santa Pola von Norden, via Urbanova. Man sieht Alicante im Hintergrund.

Urbanova is nothing special – blocks of flats and a promenade. By the way: we saw lots of scooters in Spain, even for two people!

Urbanova ist nichts Besonderes – Wohnblocks und eine Promenade. Übrigens: wir sahen viele Scooter in Spanien, sogar solche für zwei Personen!

After driving around the cap, we headed up to the lighthouse. The street wasn’t in very good condition…

Nachdem wir das Kap umfahren hatten, fuhren wir zum Leuchtturm hoch. Die Strasse war nicht in sehr gutem Zustand…

The parking was roughly 200 metres from the lighthouse. The sun was about to set.

Der Parkplatz war ungefähr 200 Meter vor dem Leuchtturm. Die Sonne war kurz vor dem Untergehen.

They built a „skywalk“ up there!

Sie haben dort einen Skywalk gebaut!

The view was grande. You could see Alicante and up to Benidorm, and even the rock of Calpe.

Die Aussicht war grandios. Man sah Alicante und bis nach Benidorm, und sogar den Felsen von Calpe.

The sunset was fantastic even though there were clouds 🙂

We stayed on that parking for the night.

The next morning our water pump broke 😦

Am nächsten Morgen ging unsere Wasserpumpe kaputt 😦

Luckily we’re flexible with our route. We drove to Elx / Elche to buy a new waterpump plus connection accessories. We also took this opportunity to wash our clothes. Elx is full of palm trees! Two years ago we visited this town already.

Zum Glück sind wir flexibel bezüglich unserer Route. Wir fuhren nach Elx / Elche, um eine neue Wasserpumpe plus Anschlusszubehör zu kaufen. Bei dieser Gelegenheit wuschen wir auch noch unsere Kleider. Elx ist voller Palmen! Vor zwei Jahren besuchten wir diese Stadt bereits.

We found a pitch for camper vans in Almoradi. Kurt successfully replaced the water pump 🙂 A map of our distance travelled on these two days.
