Cabo de Santa Pola / Cabo de la Huerta – 12.1.2024

Sunrises are wonderful 🙂 I don’t know why we don’t get up early enough more often!

We were below the Far de Santa Pola ( we were up there four days ago), at the Cabo de Santa Pola. The stone blocks were full of shells!

The atmosphere was marvellous 🙂

We then headed north because we needed to go home…

Alicante.

We fancied a walk, so we stopped at the Cabo de la Huerta.

Nice flowers, and even a couple of butterflies! Black spots in the sky and in the water 😉

We could see as far as Benidorm, and even the rock of Calpe.

A small stretch of land without houses, what a blessing!

The shore was fantastic!

The lighthouse „Faro del Cabo de la Huerta“.

Who would have expected this wonderful scenery!

The rocks are amazing!

Some details.

Only very few plants.

The walk wasn’t long, but it was well worth it 🙂

Cala de la Palmera.

The walk back to our camper van.

We went for a bite to eat at the „La Terracita de Brindis“ – lovely food, interesting interior and very friendly service!

Impressions of the onward journey: lots and lots of electric scooters, collapsed buildings, palm trees, road signs, colourful houses, building sites …

… built up coast, joggers, canoeists, boats and hills inland.

Benidorm.

Lovely sunset.

We went to the same campsite we’ve been before, the „La Media Legua“, just north of Benidorm. Benidorm is very much orientated towards British tourists!

Our journey today.
