Driving to Brittany – 18./19.5.2024

On the road again! After a long time at home, we set off again via the Transjurane to France.

The weather was changeable, there was not much traffic and the scenery was lovely – what more do you want!

We drove through many forests and even saw some deers. At one point there were many mysterious clouds of mist rising vertically from the trees.

Some of the villages looked deserted, others didn’t.

We were forced to take a detour (barred road), so we decided to head west before Paris, via Auxerre and Orléans.

The Chablis vines grow in this region.

The evening light enchanted the area.

We spent the night near Fréteval, next to a pond.

The next day we travelled to Brittany. We took one of the first opportunities to eat a galette 🙂 Our destination for the next couple of weeks is Plouguiel.

Our route these two days.
