Because of storm „Harry“ we left the southeasterly coast and drove north-west.

Wegen dem Sturmtief „Harry“ verliessen wir die südöstliche Küste und fuhren gegen Nordwesten.

We were amazed how green and hilly it is inland!

The road is in good condition. Some mountains still had snow.

We reached Palermo, but we drove past it, towards the west.

Wir erreichten Palermo, aber wir fuhren daran vorbei, weiter gegen Westen.

Our next site was in Nubia, next to Trapani. It was a super place to stay, with clean sanitary facilities and a lovely shower! We appreciate good showers on our travels 😉 The owners were very friendly and treated us nearly like cousins (their words!).

Unser nächster Stellplatz war in Nubia, in der Nähe von Trapani. Es war ein super Stellplatz mit sauberen Sanitäranlagen und einer sehr guten Dusche! Wir schätzen gute Duschen auf unseren Reisen 😉 Die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und behandelten uns fast wie Cousins (ihre Worte!).

With all the rain it got quite wet, but luckily never too bad!

Mit all dem Regen wurde es mit der Zeit ziemlich nass, aber zum Glück nie schlimm!

Every morning a van came by with veg and fruit.

Jeden Morgen kam ein Lieferwagen vorbei mit Gemüse und Früchten.

There is a salt museum in Nubia. It was closed while we were there, they were doing maintenance work.

Es gibt ein Salzmuseum in Nubia. Es war geschlossen als wir dort waren, sie machten Instandhaltungsarbeiten.

Near salt lagoons there are always flamingos and other birds.

In der Nähe von Salzlagunen hat es immer Flamingos und andere Vögel.

We were there a few times, to observe the birds or just to enjoy the view.

Wir waren ein paar Mal dort, um die Vögel zu beobachten oder einfach um die Gegend zu geniessen.

The sunsets were great from there!

Eines Abends assen wir im Restaurant neben dem Torre Nubia. Es regnete in Strömen…

A couple of times we met this dog, barking and jumping at cars, behaving really strange… And if not the dog, it was the car and motorbike drivers who behaved strange 😉

Ein paar Mal begegneten wir diesem Hund. Er bellte und sprang auf Autos zu, und verhielt sich sehr seltsam… Und wenn nicht der Hund, dann waren es die Auto- und Motorrad-Fahrer, die sich seltsam verhielten 😉
