Marsala is a town south of Trapani. We drove there along the coast, past many flooded fields.

Marsala ist eine Stadt südlich von Trapani. Wir fuhren auf der Küstenstrasse, an vielen überfluteten Feldern vorbei.

The lay-out of the roads was interesting: there was always a stop sign on the main road at the level crossings.

Die Strassenführung war interessant: bei den Bahnübergängen hatte es immer ein Stoppschild an der Hauptstrasse.

It’s best to enter the old part of Marsala through the gate „Porta Garibaldi“.

Unfortunately the wine museum was closed. We only got as far as the entrance yard.

Finding our way back to the Porta Garibaldi. Luckily we have the app „Komoot“ – with that we always track our walks.

Unfortunately the Mercato del Pesce (fish market) was already closed.

Leider war der Mercato del Pesce (Fischmarkt) bereits geschlossen.

We drove back on the „salt road“.

Wir fuhren zurück auf der „Salzstrasse“.

The road was quite bad, after the storm and all the rain. We passed the jetty where the boats depart for Mozia. Shame we missed out on that trip, but the weather was just too bad -> Mozia

Die Strasse war in schlechtem Zustand, nach dem Sturm und dem vielen Regen. Wir kamen an dem Steg vorbei, von dem aus die Boote nach Mozia ablegen. Schade, dass wir diesen Ausflug nicht machen konnten (wegen schlechtem Wetter) -> Mozia
