The Bateria de Castillitos (on Cabo Tiñoso) is another world war II ruin. If the reason for their existence wasn’t so terrible, the buildings themselves would look quite good, with their little towers.




The guns were apparantly manufactured in Vickers, Barrow-in-Furness!

I preferred taking photos of birds, rather than guns…

On the way down the hill the colours of the rocks showed up nicely.

We drove to Bolnuevo, where we expected to find the coast full of sand sculptures, formed by wind over thousands of years. As it happens, it was much smaller, but still quite impressive.


Afterwards we drove further south, to the Cala Blanca.
