We wanted to see the midnight sun, so we headed up to the north of the Westfjords! Last year we had more luck with the weather. Mind you, that was the reason we mostly stayed in the east the whole seven weeks we were in Iceland. There it was sunny a lot of the time….

On gravel roads our van gets pretty dirty very quickly. Luckily all over Iceland water hoses with brushes are at your disposal. We enjoyed the area even though the sun was not shining.
