Over the next pass to Bíldudalur, again (we were there about 10 days ago). We already knew where we would find lovely food: at the Vegamót 🙂

Über den nächsten Pass, wieder nach Bíldudalur (wir waren vor ca. 10 Tagen bereits dort). Wir wussten deshalb, wo wir feines Essen kriegen: im Vegamót 🙂

The following day we went to the Seamonster museum. It’s very well done, with a mix of spoken words, films, artefacts and multimedia.

Am nächsten Tag gingen wir ins Seemonster Museum. Es überzeugt mit einem Mix aus Ton, Film, Artefakten und Multimedia.

There is a café at the museum 🙂 The puddle next to the church shows that it rained a lot just lately…

Beim Museum hat’s auch ein Café 🙂 Die Pfütze neben der Kirche zeigt, dass es in letzter Zeit viel geregnet hat…

That day the weather was fair though, and it got better and better ! We drove along the fjord and over the next pass.

An diesem Tag war das Wetter aber gut, und es wurde immer besser ! Wir fuhren dem Fjord entlang und über den nächsten Pass.

Our aim for that day was the waterfall Dynjandi, just over the next pass !

Unser Ziel an diesem Tag war der Wasserfall Dynjandi, auf der anderen Seite des Passes !

There are seveal waterfalls below the big Dynjandi.

Es hat einige Wasserfälle unterhalb des grossen Dynjandi.

All these waterfalls are impressive and gorgeous.

Die vielen Wasserfälle sind eindrücklich und wunderschön.

Dynjandi is about 100 metres high, 30 metres broad at the top and 60 metres at the bottom.

Dynjandi hat eine Höhe von ungefähr 100 Meter, und eine Breite von 30 Meter (oben) resp. 60 Meter (unten).

On the way down we mainly took photos of flowers 😉

We now know why the sheep like to be on the road – they lick up the salt !

The next day, along the fjord. Sheep are even on the airfield ! There are lots of little airports all over Iceland. We saw a French cemetery. The road soon turned into an F-street (only for real 4×4 cars).

Am nächsten Tag, dem Fjord entlang. Schafe sind sogar auf dem Rollfeld ! Es hat viele kleine Flughäfen überall in Island. Wir sahen einen französischen Friedhof. Die Strasse wurde bald zu einer F-Strasse (nur für richtige 4×4 Autos).

Back in the village we went to Simbahöllin (Simba’s palace). I wanted to go there because of Simba (Domsti’s cat), and it was a very good choice !

Zurück im Dorf gingen wir ins Simbahöllin (Simba’s Palast). Ich wollte dorthin wegen Simba (Domsti’s Kater), und es war eine sehr gute Wahl !

Really an interesting village 🙂

We chose to take a cul-de-sac road over to the next fjord. Probably not many tourists go there…

Wir wählten eine Sackgasse rüber in den nächsten Fjord. Wahrscheinlich verirren sich nicht viele Touristen dorthin…

Two dogs, aggressive arctic terns, a church and a couple of houses awaited us.

Dort gab es zwei Hunde, aggressive Küstenseeschwalben, eine Kirche und ein paar Häuser.

After playing with the dogs for a bit we went back. We don’t always know what it says on the signposts…

Nach ein paar Spielen mit den Hunden fuhren wir zurück. Wir wissen nicht immer, was auf den Schildern steht…

Luckily we didn’t miss these wonderful ponds.

Zum Glück übersahen wir diese wundervollen Tümpel nicht.

Walk up to the avalanche barriers. In a lot of places in Iceland you can play frisbee golf!

Zu den Lawinenverbauungen. An vielen Orten in Island kann man Frisbee Golf spielen!
