The village Marinella di Selinunte is near the archaeological area of the ancient Greek city Selinunte. We started our walk at the playground.

Das Dorf Marinella di Selinunte liegt neben der archäologischen Stätte der griechischen Stadt Selinunte. Wir begannen unsere Wanderung beim Spielplatz.

We noticed that in Sicily the shutters are nearly always closed, no matter whether somebody lives in the house or whether it’s a holiday place. Why ? To keep the heat out – maybe in summer. To keep the cold out – maybe, now in winter…

Uns fiel auf, dass in Sizilien die Fensterläden fast immer geschlossen sind, ob das Haus bewohnt ist oder nur als Ferienhaus dient. Wieso ? Um die Hitze draussen zu halten – vielleicht im Sommer. Um die Kälte draussen zu halten – vielleicht, jetzt im Winter…

We also noticed lots of little self-service kiosks selling medicines (all over Sicily).

Uns sind außerdem überall auf Sizilien viele kleine Selbstbedienungskioske aufgefallen, an denen Medikamente verkauft werden.
