Das Panorama vom Campingplatz in Hella war nicht schlecht 🙂

We heard loudspeaker announcements and music nearby, so we went to have a look what’s happening. It was a horse competition. They were tölting 🙂

Wir hörten Lautsprecherdurchsagen und Musik in der Nähe, und wollten wissen, was da abging. Es war ein Pferde-Wettkampf. Die Pferde liefen im Tölt 🙂

There are horses (nearly) everywhere !

The basaltic columns and the rainbow made it look really special 🙂

Very close to that waterfall is a reconstructed farm, based on the excavated farmhouse Stöng. This farmhouse ist believed to have been destroyed in the Hekla eruption in 1104. It’s called Þjóðveldisbærinn. It’s only open again in June, so we just looked at it from the outside.

In der Nähe dieses Wasserfalls ist ein rekonstruierter Bauernhof, basierend auf dem Bauernhof Stöng. Dieser wurde wahrscheinlich beim Hekla Vulkanausbruch in 1104 verschüttet. Der Hof heisst Þjóðveldisbærinn. Er ist erst im Juni geöffnet, deshalb konnten wir ihn nur von aussen besichtigen.
