Sicily: drive to Park4Kite Campsite / Licata – 7.+8.2.26

As the area around Torre Salsa wasn’t easily accessible due to the rain, we decided not to go on that hike and left the U’Pantanu campsite.

We drove past Agrigento and the Valle dei Templi (Valley of the Temples).

The area was full of greenhouses (some with tomatoes, we assumed).

In Palma di Montechiaro we did our washing and had a coffee. It was funny – it seemed that in all the cafés they were cleaning the floor after every customer 🙂

The campsite Park4Kite is beautifully situated right by the sea!

We went for a walk along the beach to the ‚Punta delle due Rocche‘.

Lots of shells 🙂

The ‚Castello di Falconara‘ can be seen.

Even plants grow on the rocks.

Taking photos of each other 😉

Back and even further along the beach. The owner of the campsite was busy kitesurfing. Kurt collected some wood to put under the tyres.

The Castello di Falconara is not accessible to the public.

We had a look at the station instead 😉

We decided to drive to Licata.

The ‚Castello Sant’Angelo‘ towers over the town. It’s also an archeological site.

The castel itself was closed, we only walked around it.

Some lovely flowers 🙂

The view from up there wasn’t bad either.

Plenty of old stones – remains of buildings.

Walk around the town of Licata …

… and to the port.
